Edlize finished her undergraduate studies at the University of Santo Tomas and her law degree at San Sebastian College – Recoletos. She passed the bar with an outstanding grade.
Prior to joining the firm, Edlize served her first few years as a corporate counsel in one of the biggest corporations in the country. Edlize has a background in in-house counsel work reviewing contracts and advising clients on day-to-day operations. She has defended corporations and its corporate officers in labor cases filed against them and assisted in the prosecution of criminal cases against erring employees.
As Managing Associate, Edlize is in charge of the firm’s high-profile cases and training of the firm’s junior associates.
With years of maritime law practice, Edlize gained an expertise in protecting the interest of vessel owners in crew claims and conducting due diligence for possible future claims. Her negotiation skills are likewise impeccable leading to amicable settlement of cases. Her legal advice is sought after by vessel owners in Europe, Asia and in the U.S.
